Crash Bandicoot was a massive success in 1996, it was the first western made character that made a break through to Japan, only a few have found success even today. Crash Bandicoot was designed by Charles Zembilla, he has designed other popular characters such as Jak and Daxter and Spyro the dragon. I chose the game Crash Bandicoot from the 1990's because it was one of my favourite 1990's games while growing up I spent hours playing the game and trying to improve each time.  The game brings back happy memories from that time. Crash Bandicoot was genetically engineered through the use of Cortex and doctor Nitrus Brio's evolve Ray in the game, Crash also forms friendship with other characters in the game one being  "Aku Aku" he is the guardian of wumpa and is like a father figure to Crash and his friends. Crash is fearless in nature and loves a good fight.  Throughout the series of Crash Bandicoot, 2008 Crash mind over mutant being the last game produced and 3 other projects being cancelled in early development, crash has stayed the same throughout in design and personality I find that this is rare considering the franchise has been through many other companies in the past.

 (The last produced Crash Bandicoot game, this is the front cover design for the game. As you can see in this game art cover, the character is still very similar to the original design, The character does have very better detail but his fur colour and his clothes style have all been left pretty much the same.)
